Among waterfalls and snow-capped peaks, IWFA hosted an intimate event in the nation’s capital

To mark the end of a big year, on Wednesday 18 December the IWFA Canberra chapter hosted a gathering at the Scott Leggo Gallery in Kingston and invited members and a select group of women leaders in the community.

Against a stunning backdrop of Australian landscapes, the room buzzed as 15 diverse women from a range of industry sectors and at all stages of their career connected and explored synergies and ways they could support one another’s respective endeavours.

Scott Leggo is an award-winning landscape photographer with a passion for the outdoors and a keen spirit of adventure. He shared his approach to capturing Australia’s wild places and passing on that feeling of serenity, escape and wonder with those who view his artwork. He also spoke about the importance of men uplifting and supporting women.

Canberra is a small chapter of just eight and is looking to expand its cohort to include other like-mined women. This relaxed event presented the opportunity for Liesel Wett to explain the organisation’s values and mission of championing equality worldwide and advancing women’s leadership and answer any questions.

Nadine White shared her own experience of being nominated, the women she has subsequently met, all she has learnt and how this has positively impacted her.

From wall art to acrylic blocks, all the Scott Leggo Gallery products are produced to the highest possible standard, and all artworks are made in Australia.
