Program Overview

“Emerging Women Leaders” is a unique Leadership Program that translates theory into lived practice and goes to the core of what makes a successful leader:

know yourself,
know what you are capable of,
know and own your power and know where and how to use it.

This structured six session program takes a very different look at the leadership paradigm. The program takes participants on a leadership journey using the personal stories of established leaders in the IWFA network. A network of successful women leaders, from all sectors, which is beyond the reach of most emerging leaders. These stories address whole of life issues including values, relationships, personal wellness and community wellbeing –the successes, the failures, the challenges and the lessons learned. Lessons that are invaluable for emerging leaders: “If you can perhaps I can too!!”

Co-founded by IWFA members, Pam Burton and Chris Gillies, the program has been a career and life-changing experience for many emerging women leaders.

Go into the program with an open mind, an open heart and be ready to shake up any assumptions about how you show up, lead yourself and others. Go in expecting to build and build higher!

Being a part of the International Women’s Federation has been transformative. The network of empowered women I’ve connected with has opened doors I never thought possible, and the support from this community has been incredible.

The stories have given me rare insights and shared wisdom that will stay with me for a long time. I feel incredibly empowered by the content and the story tellers.

Delving into the themes of Values and Decision Making, Direction, Mindset, Connection and Empowerment, the lessons also extended to unexpected conversations around relationships, career evolution, resilience and knowing your value. This further fuelled my desire to dig deep and make an impact.

My conversations with IWFA members enabled me to learn from their experience and provoked new thinking.

I learnt that it is okay to reach out and ask for help. I need to get back on track to be a CEO.

I observed here how to step into the rhythm of the song and I learnt that if you want to dance, just get up and dance. I will look for new opportunities, I will be curious and will not wait to be invited in.
