Leanne is well respected for her leadership within the Visitor Economy sector, particularly in regard to marketing Queensland’s tourism industry around the globe and building the State’s major events calendar into a significant economic driver. Leanne’s broad industry experience includes senior executive roles with the Hyatt Hotel Group and a number of senior positions at Tourism Queensland, before holding the position of CEO of Tourism and Events Queensland from 2013 to 2022. Leanne has represented industry on the Australian Government’s Reimagining the Visitor Economy Expert Panel and is a non-executive Director of Helloworld and the Museum of Brisbane, and an Adjunct Professor at the UQ Business School, The University of Queensland, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management and a graduate with the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). 

Liesel is one of Canberra's brightest and active Leaders. Her April 2014 appointment as CEO of Pathology Australia, Now Australian Pathology, rounds out a successful appointment as CEO of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia – a position which Liesel held from 2010. As a national peak body, Liesel is often negotiating with Federal and State government Ministers and senior Departmental officers for new pathology tests and streamlining legislation and regulation. One of Liesel's most recent achievements was to negotiate with the Federal Government, a COVID-19 test for Pathology, where there was nothing like this in Australia. This enabled all Australians to access a COVID-19 test with no out of pocket costs, a key step in Australia's fight against the pandemic. In her PSA CEO role, Liesel led a team of over 100 staff and 25,000 Pharmacists nationally.  Lisa Barron -Bio Lisa Barron created her eponymous label in 1983 after 2 years of fashion study in Perth, Western Australia. With $500 and a portable sewing machine, Lisa crossed the country and set up a garage business in Melbourne. Designing, sewing and selling the collections to iconic fashion retailers through the 80's and 90's saw the label become a strong player in the Australian fashion industry. Lisa Barron has been invited to participate in all the major fashion shows and festivals starting with the Australian Designer Collection Shows in the 80's, dressing supermodels such as Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer and Helena Christensen through to every Melbourne Fashion Festival since its inception in 1992. The label is proudly made in Australia and Lisa is a strong supporter of local manufacturing.

Lisa joined Virgin Australia as Chief People Officer on 1 February 2021. She came to Virgin Australia from The a2 Milk Company, which she joined in November 2018 and has recently held the role of Chief People, Safety and Sustainability Officer. Lisa has over 26 years’ experience across a wide breadth of human resources roles including senior positions at BHP Billiton and Origin Energy. Prior to joining The a2 Milk Company, Lisa was Executive Manager of Human Resources at Qantas and Executive Manager of People and Communications at Jetstar between 2013 and 2018.
