Samantha is CEO of Chemistry Australia, the peak body representing Australia’s $38B chemistry industry. Her career spans more than 30 years across the chemicals, plastics, renewable fuels, automotive and steel industries. Previously, Samantha was CEO of the Biofuels Association of Australia and an Executive Director of GM Holden Ltd. Her non-executive and external advisory roles have included universities, scientific, government, regulatory, governance, health and skills organisations. Samantha has worked across Australia and the Asia Pacific and collaborated internationally. Samantha is a member of the Federal Government’s Circular Economy Ministerial Advisory Group and CSIRO's Ending Plastic Waste Mission Advisory Group. Samantha is committed to the next generation of Australian industry leaders, having recently established the Emerging Leaders program for aspiring leaders in the Australian chemistry industry. Sandie has spent her professional life leading organizations advocating for policy and system reform to reduce violence in our community. She spent her first decade in the now Department of Health and Human Services in a number of different roles and then, from 1989, in the community sector. She has a particular passion about preventing violence and abuse of women and children. Sandie has always believed that we achieve more when different sectors work together and share knowledge and she has led and participated in numerous ministerial advisory forums, peak bodies, interest and working groups. She left Berry Street in December 2017 after 26 years as CEO and is now finding new ways to contribute. She chairs 3 Family Violence organizations and is a mentor, coach and consultant

With a lifelong commitment and passion for service to the public, Sarah has spent nearly thirty years working in government law and regulation.  Following an early career at the Australian Government Solicitor where she led national teams and had stints in Canberra, Darwin and Adelaide, in 2008 Sarah was approached to join the ACCC to serve as Commissioner. She led the ACCC’s investigation, enforcement and litigation work for thirteen years, having been reappointed for a second and unprecedented third term in this role. Sarah moved to ASIC, Australia’s corporate regulator, as Deputy Chair in 2021. She was appointed as part of a new leadership team tasked with rebuilding and leading this critical agency, and continues her focus on governance and enforcement, and ensuring ASIC contributes to Australia’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
